Assessing the Risks of Rhino Horn Trade

INTRODUCTION: In April 2014 economists, conservationists, researchers, consumer state representatives and wildlife law consultants from around the world gathered in Pretoria to discuss the risks or rhino horn trade in South Africa. This report is a summary of their presentations. Topics include the impact of a legal ivory trade on Africa’s elephant population, wildlife trade management in Vietnam and the work of WildAid in consumer states to name a few.
