INTRODUCTION: Research conducted in the Caprivi Strip, Namibia investigates the relevance of pathways for movement of elephants and the significant spatial variable explaining crop-raiding. An understanding of the use of pathways is important for land-use planning in conservation landscapes, specifically with regard to human–elephant conflict.
